Downunder Cheese Puffs





These are not popovers and have nothing to do with bread. These are very quick snacks that you can whip up during commercial breaks when you are watching TV and you feel like something cheesy. Vary the taste with different types of cheeses.

Downunder Cheese Puffs
Servings: 18
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups cheese, grated

Instructions:
  1. Beat the egg in the milk; mix together with the flour, baking powder, salt and grated cheese.
  2. Put large teaspoonfuls on a cold greased tray.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes in a hot oven 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
